I'm your host, nat, and today I want to talk about something that's been on my mind as we step into 2025.

Speaker 1:

Mental wealth. Over the past year, I've learned that building resilience isn't just about pushing through tough times or, you know, just trying to get by. It's about feeling our emotions deeply, even the difficult ones. See, we often think of resilience as being tough, pushing through or just getting by, yet the real strength comes from being able to sit with and feel the emotions that arise in our bodies. I've realized that mental health isn't just about managing stress or taking breaks when it gets overwhelming. It's about building lasting habits that support us in the long run. That's why I started thinking about it differently. I started thinking about it like a savings account for my mind. Instead of just surviving, I began investing in my mental wealth and let me tell you, it's been a game changer. I could not have gone through the experience that I did these past two months if I hadn't invested in this wealth. Mental wealth isn't just about sleep, diet, exercise and stress management. It's about nurturing all those things while being willing to feel what's happening in your body and your heart. True resilience comes from leaning into vulnerability, from having the courage to feel everything, even the pain. When we allow ourselves to fully experience our emotions, we don't just survive them, we move through them, and each time we do, we build a stronger foundation. It's about integration.

Speaker 1:

I began asking myself simple questions Am I getting enough rest? Sometimes the answer was no, because my nervous system was in hypervigilance. Am I nourishing my body and my mind? Sometimes the answer was yes, and sometimes the answer was no. And, most importantly, am I letting myself feel all of my emotions, even the hard ones, the big ones, rather than pushing them away? And that's where so much resilience has been strengthened and developed, because I can honestly answer yes. I have been Especially anger, that protective emotion or guilt. I had to ask myself what are you protecting to loosen up those defense mechanisms of the nervous system and allow the vulnerability to be felt, allow the sensitivity to have expression.

Speaker 1:

One surprising thing I've learned is how small shifts can create momentum, like, for example, for years I've been using the tool called Magic Mind, a product that complements my mental wealth journey. It's not just about the energy boost it helps me feel more present, especially during moments when things used to feel chaotic. Magic Mind has become a part of my daily routine. Their focus shots help me stay calm and clear-headed during busy mornings, and their sleep shots are like a warm hug after a long, emotional day. They support my nervous system throughout the day, helping me feel grounded even when things feel overwhelming. It's not the entire solution, yet it's a key piece of how I nurture my mental wealth supporting my mind and nervous system so I can be present, grounded and able to feel. Forward, slash, lift oneself. Gen. That's M-A-G-I-F-T-O-N-E-S-E-L-F-J-A-N. Let's make 2025 the year we prioritize our minds, feel everything and invest in the resilience we deserve. Now another tool that has been impactful for me to feel those big emotions in the impermanence of life is what I call mindful moments in short, meditation. Yet not using meditation as a way to escape, rather to lean in, to tune into my body, feel and release, allowing space for a response rather than reaction. Let's pause for a mindful moment together, wherever you are, settle into a comfortable position, let your hands rest gently and allow yourself to be here now, if it's safe to do so gently.

Speaker 1:

Close your eyes, take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it and exhale slowly through your mouth as you continue breathing, imagine each breath nurturing your mental wealth. There may be some sensations or feelings coming up, and that's okay. Let them arise. You're safe to feel. You're safe to feel. You're safe to let go. Surrender the need to control, release the need to resist and just be With every inhale. Feel yourself receiving calm and clarity With every exhale. Let go of tension and stress With every inhale. Feel yourself receiving calm and clarity With every exhale. Let go of tension and stress. Repeat silently to yourself I am building the foundation of my mental wealth. I am worthy of feeling all that I am feeling and I am worthy of rest, clarity and calm. Repeat it again I am building the foundation of my mental wealth, of my mental wealth. I am worthy of feeling all that I am feeling and I am worthy of rest, clarity and calm. Feel that truth settle into your heart as you take one more deep, grounding breath. Now, when you're ready, at your own time and at your own pace, you're going to slowly bring your awareness back to the room and open your eyes as you move through your day.

Speaker 1:

I encourage you to reflect on your mental wealth. What small action can you take today to support it? Maybe it's taking a moment to check in with your emotions, practicing a few deep breaths, or even journaling for five minutes to reflect on what you're feeling. Building mental wealth isn't about doing it all perfectly. It's about taking small, intentional steps. This isn't about perfection. This is about living and processing and allowing life to be messy. Remember, feeling everything we go through is how we build true resilience. It's not about avoiding or numbing the tough stuff. It's about facing it, feeling it and knowing that each time we do, we grow stronger. That's the real power of mental wealth. It's allowing yourself to soften, to open, to be curious to what life has in store to experience. Let's make 2025 the year we feel it all and invest in the resilience we deserve. Take care of yourself today and be kind to yourself and your mind Until next time remember feeling is healing.
