Speaker 1:

Hey, beautiful souls, this is Nat. Nat, and today's episode comes from a really raw, tender place in my heart. Yesterday I learned that a friend of mine transitioned and it brought up so many emotions not just for them. Yet it opened up this whole well of feelings about when Natalie transitions. You know it's interesting how life works. Sometimes, just when you think you've processed something, healed from it, life brings you another moment that peels back those layers again. And yesterday I found myself sitting with this overwhelming sense of helplessness, that familiar feeling that washed over me during Natalie's transition. Yet something was different this time. Instead of trying to push it away or armor up against it, I just let it be there. I let myself feel everything the worry, the love, the fear, the hope, all of it. And you know what? I didn't drown in it like I thought I would.

Speaker 1:

We talk a lot about strength in our society, don't we? We have this image of strength being about holding it together, keeping those walls up, showing the world we're unshakable. Yet I'm learning. This is something I'm really passionate about, sharing in my new raw healing course. That true strength often looks like softness. It looks like letting yourself crack open when you need to. It looks like sitting with a friend who's going through a massive life change and allowing yourself to be vulnerable enough to say this brings up so much for me, and I'm here with you in it.

Speaker 1:

You see, for the longest time, I thought healing meant getting to a place where things didn't hurt you anymore. Yet that's not it at all. Healing is about building a relationship with our emotions. No, healing is about building a relationship with our emotions where we don't need to run from them anymore, where we can say, oh hello, helplessness, I see you. Hello, grief, yes, you can be here too. This is why I'm creating the raw healing course, because too many of us have been taught that feeling deeply is a weakness, that we need to get over things quickly, that we need to have it all figured out, that our deep emotions are an inconvenience. Yet here's the truth I want to share with you your capacity to feel deeply is your superpower. Deeply is your superpower, your willingness to stay open, even when it hurts. That's where the real healing happens.

Speaker 1:

Sure, there are times when we need to protect ourselves, when we need to retreat and regroup. That's valid and it's important too. Yet there's a difference between isolation and solitude. If we stay in that sheltered place. If we make isolation our permanent home, we miss out on the profound healing that comes from allowing ourselves to be seen, to be felt, to be human. To my friend who transitions to all of my friends that are in a space of grief the courage it took to live authentically and face the pain is inspiring. So, natalie is inspiring. So, natalie, your journey continues to teach me about love and acceptance.

Speaker 1:

And to everyone listening who's sitting with big feelings right now you're not alone. Your feelings aren't too much. They're exactly what they need to be. You see us in society. What we do is we try to understand and analyze our feelings, and that's not what you're to do. You're simply to feel your feelings. Remember, feeling is healing. It's not just a catchphrase, it's a pathway to becoming more fully ourselves.

Speaker 1:

In my raw healing course, we're going to dive deep into this. Together. We're going to explore what it means to truly feel, to hold space for ourselves and others, to find that strength and softness, because, at the end of the day, the most beautiful transformation often come from those moments when we choose to stay open instead of closed off, when we choose to feel instead of freeze. And now I'll invite you into a mindful moment. Find a comfortable position, whether you're driving, walking or sitting somewhere quiet. This is a moment just for you, to practice being with whatever is present for you right now. If it is safe to do so, I'm going to ask you to gently close your eyes If you're driving. Keep those eyes open, please.

Speaker 1:

Now you're going to begin breathing in and out through your nose. You're going to bring your awareness to watching your breath. You're not going to try and control it. You're going to be aware of its rhythm, allowing it to guide you into your body. You're going to be aware of its rhythm, allowing it to guide you into your body. There may be some sensations or feelings coming up, and that's okay. You're safe to feel. You're safe to let go, surrender the need to control, Release the need to resist and just be, be with your breath, drop deeper into your body. Now. You may have some thoughts or memories that are coming up, and that's okay. Let them surface, let them be seen. Yet, bring your awareness back to your breath, creating space between the thoughts and your awareness back to your breath, creating space between the thoughts and your awareness and dropping deeper into your body and just allowing yourself to be.

Speaker 1:

Now there may be a little bit more of a build up going on inside your body, so I'm going to ask you to take some deep belly breaths. So you're going to breathe in through your nose all the way down to the bottom of your belly and pushing out like a balloon, and you're going to take a pause and you're going to exhale through your mouth and you're going to suck in your belly, wanting to get rid of all of that oxygen that you just inhaled and whatever energy that might be in your body. Do another deep inhale, pushing your belly all the way out, holding it and doing a gentle release out of your mouth, sucking that belly in and releasing all that energy. Do a few more to wherever you feel a little more centered, a little more space in the body, and at any point, if it feels overwhelming, allow yourself to release the screen, as long as it's safe to do so and it's not going to interfere with your surrounding. Yet if you need to release it out, just let a good scream come out and then allow yourself to come back to your breath. It's going to sound a little bit like this oh, just come back to your breath, allowing it to be released, or your scream might have a high pitch because there's a lot of pain and sadness in it. Whatever that expression needs to be, allow yourself to express it out of your body while coming back to your breath and letting the space open up inside your body, letting the energy be released and processed so there becomes an openness, an emptiness, bringing your awareness to your breath, coming back to breathing in and out through your nose, allowing it to just be. If there's more overwhelm or tension and you need to let out another expression vocal, allow yourself to do that. Maybe there's some tears running down. Allow yourself to do that. Maybe there's some tears running down. Allow that you might be laughing and smiling. Allow that you may now notice that there's some tension in your body. Be aware of it. Don't get caught up in it. Stay with your breath, allowing your body to release whichever way it needs to, being there for yourself, fully and witnessing while staying, while staying with your breath in the present moment. Release Now at your own time and at your own pace. You're going to gently open your eyes While still staying with your breath.
